Ford Logo Elite

Elite has achieved full recognition by the Ford EMC group for testing to the new Ford specification EMC-CS-2009.  This recognition applies to all Ford EMC and electrical tests, without any exceptions.

Elite’s Ford approved status is the result of months of preparation by Elite’s automotive team to develop the procedures, equipment and software to run these tests. Over the past six months, Elite has acquired test equipment and develop test fixturing for all the new and updated tests.  For example, Elite engineers have constructed antenna fixtures for Ford's new RI 115 test.  RI 115 evaluates the RF immunity of passenger and luggage compartment electronics to hand portable transmitters.  Elite also has developed a new RI 130 transient generator and has rebuilt its coupling fixtures for both RI 130 and RI 150.

Along with extensive upgrades to its test hardware, Elite software engineers have rewritten test automation software to update nearly every "-AC" test to the new requirements of CS-2009.   Lastly, our procedures, setup diagrams, and report templates have been revised and approved for use in formal validation testing.

To begin the process of Ford testing at Elite, contact our sales department.  Formal validation testing of Ford electronics requires an approved EMC test plan. Elite engineers are available to assist with questions on your test plan or the Ford test requirements.

Elite’s Ford recognition comes shortly after approval by Chrysler for meeting all requirements for its latest component EMC test specification, CS-11809. Elite has been a Chrysler approved third party EMC test lab since 2000. Elite is also fully recognized by GM for testing to all sections of GMW3097. Being approved by all three domestic automotive manufacturers makes Elite a one-stop source for automotive EMC testing and ensures convenience, cost savings, and continuity for automotive EMC validation.

Elite has worked for years, investing in people, equipment, and facilities to become the leading EMC test lab for automotive, truck, construction, and agricultural equipment. Our capabilities, resources, and achievements include:

  • Full Recognition by Ford, Chrysler, and GM for all test methods.
  • Experienced Test Lab for Toyota, Honda, Nissan, KIA, BMW, Mercedes, Volkswagen and others.
  • A2LA accredited to the AEMCLAP since 1999
  • Whole Vehicle EMC Testing using Absorber Lined Shielded Enclosure (ALSE) or Hybrid Mode Stir Methods.
  • Four CISPR 25 Complaint EMC chambers, four electrical transient generator stations, RI testing at 600V/m in either ALSE or Mode Tuned Chamber.
