Elite Reconfigures for MIL-STD-461F
Posted on: July 1st, 2008
Elite engineers have completed the reconfiguring of test chamber, test equipment, software, and procedures to accommodate the latest “F” revision of MIL-STD-461. In the F version, the radiated emissions test RE102 now eliminates the bonding strap between the counterpoise and the ground plane and replaces it with a ground connection to the floor (ground point). Elite also acquired a new surge generator to conduct the CS106 voltage surge test. The CS106 test is applicable to mains-powered equipment for Navy submarine and surface applications. Other changes include sweep time changes and some modifications to limits. To learn more about these changes and how they may affect your next MIL-461 qualification program, contact Elite’s MIL-STD Team Leader Pat Hall (phall@elitetest.com).
