In January 2001, Elite was designated by the United States Government as a U.S. Conformity Assessment Body (CAB) for the R&TTE Directive and EMC Directive. U.S. Conformity Assessment Bodies are equivalent to Notified Bodies in the EU. Importantly, U.S. CABs perform the same role and have the same authority as European bodies. Elite can now review technical construction files as a Notified Body and issue compliance statements in accordance with the R&TTE Directive 1999/5/EC Annex II, III, and IV.
With Elite's status as a Notified Body and a U.S. FCC Telecommunication Certification Body (TCB), certification and testing of intentional transmitters for domestic and international compliance has never been more convenient and cost effective.

- Evaluate compliance regulations to determine specific requirements
- Perform emissions and immunity testing according to specifications
- Technical file review
- Notify countries of operation in non-harmonized frequency band
- Issue compliance opinion statement
