Fred is an independent sales representative and owner of a sales and marking firm that represents Elite along with other component and product manufacturers and service companies.   The other firms on Fred’s line card include companies that manufacture power conversion components like planar transformers, inductors, high speed diodes, capacitors and silicon switches as well as other service providers.

How did you get into the testing industry?

One of my customers needed an EMC test supplier. I canvased my associates looking for the best in the industry, and Elite’s name always came up. I kept pursing the opportunity with Elite and my persistence paid off, now I’m Elite’s rep and very glad to be part of the team.

What’s your proudest moment in life so far? 

Having both of my daughters graduate college and continue their lives pursuing their dreams in successful careers.

What would you consider to be your passion outside of work? How did you get started in it? Any advice for anyone looking to try this activity?

Maintaining a workout routine to stay in the best possible health including running and lifting – When it comes to running investing in shoes is an absolute must. The real key is to establish a routine that becomes automatic. Often times it's just getting to the gym, or starting the workout that is the most difficult.

Anything that customers/colleagues would find surprising about you?

I am a first generation German born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago. German was spoken predominately in the home until I started school. I had to take 4 years of speech therapy to lose my accent.

If you had a personal motto, what would it be?

Have the courage to follow your passions and always maintain the highest integrity.

What's the most rewarding aspect of working with Elite?

Love the people, and their focus on being the best they can be.

Anything else you would like to add about your role with Elite?

I intend to support Elite in any capacity that is required for them to grow their business and to maintain their position as a leader in their industry.

If you could be paid in something other than money, what would you choose?

Vacation days with my family on a beach.
