EN 300 328 Now Published in OJ

The RED version of EN 300 328 has now been published in the Official Journal for the Radio Equipment Directive 2014/53/EU. This standard covers systems in the 2.4GHz band such as Bluetooth, Zigbee, and WiFi. Manufacturers should review the standard to determine if their products remain compliant.

RED Notification Procedure

If your wireless device is placed in the European market and it has restrictions for use or if it is required to be licensed prior to use then you will need to include a “Notification” label as part of your conformity assessment. The EU has released a new notification procedure that is in the draft stage and manufacturers can now provide comments on its application before it becomes a formal requirement.
