It’s time for the annual IEEE Chicago Oktoberfest event where members, guests, and interested attendees come together for a festive evening of conversation and professional networking, learning, German food and refreshments...for FREE! This year's event is a joint meeting of the Chicago Chapters of IEEE EMC Society, Antennas and Propogation Society (APS), and Microwave Theory and Technology Society (MTTS).

Over-The-Air (OTA) Measurements and Technology

Presented by Dan Perkins - Rohde & Schwarz

The keynote technical presentation will focus on the measurement techniques and significance of radio frequency OTA measurements such as Total Radiated Power (TRP), Total Isotropic Sensitivity (TIS), and Relative Sensitivity. These measurements are an important tool used to assess wireless systems data throughput, transmit range, and overall transceiver performance. They are also a requirement and necessary step for device certification with cellular operators.

This Oktoberfest event is also the annual fall professional networking meeting for the Chicago Chapters of the IEEE EMC Society and Antennas and Propogation/Microwave Theory and Technology Society (APSMTTS). IEEE members and non-members are invited to attend to meet and get to know other attendees, learn more about IEEE, and establish valued professional connections.

On the following day (October 18), Elite will be co-hosting a 1-day Wireless Integration and Antenna Workshop with Rohde & Schwarz for a more in-depth training session on wireless technology, antenna design, performance, and key measurements. Learn more about building a better wirless device with hands-on experience.

Cost: This is a free event, but registration is required to attend.

Registration: Please submit your registration using the form below by October 12.
