Learn Environmental Stress Test Qualification, Vibration and Shock Testing, and How to Build a Fixture

Are you an engineer, technician, or manager new to the goals and process of Environmental Stress Testing? Attend this 3-day seminar to quickly expand your knowledge and build your expertise in Environmental Stress Testing. Elite and the Institute of Environmental Sciences and Technology (IEST) have teamed up to provide an intensive “Boot Camp” workshop that will help you select the applicable environmental “Qual” tests and conditions to apply for your product. We will examine the full life cycle planning process then drill down to specific practical details covering vibration and shock testing. The hands-on vibration and shock tutorials will help you plan and execute the dynamics testing and analyze the results. Additional classwork will explain how to develop vibration and shock fixturing from basics to advanced.

Day 1 - Introduction to Environmental Testing will provide you with an introduction to various aspects of environmental testing and will help you begin to understand your role in the process. You will gain reference information for Dynamic, Climatic and Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) testing which feeds into more in-depth courses geared toward practitioners, such as MIL-STD-810, Introduction to Dynamics certificate, and HALT/HASS Introduction.

Day 2/3 - Practical Introduction to Vibration and Shock Testing builds on basic theory and focuses on vibration and shock testing in practice. While basic theory is reviewed for enhancement of conceptual understanding, focus is on leading the practicing engineer or technician to clearly grasp the types of vibration and shock that can be imparted to a product, sources of vibration and shock requirements, available test equipment, and correct interpretation of data.

Day 3 - Designing Effective Vibration and Shock Fixtures provides an overview of parameters for designing effective vibration and shock fixtures and is intended to familiarize engineers and managers with the concerns and requirements that must be addressed to meet their specifications. Upon completion, you will have an understanding of how to approach fixture design.
