Construction review, testing, and documentation

The Low Voltage Directive is the European requirement that safeguards individuals and property from electric shock, fire, and other related electrical hazards. The Directive and harmonized Euro Norm safety standards are applied to grant a presumption of conformity to products that fall under the scope of the LVD.

The most common electrical safety standards for consumer and industrial equipment include EN 60950 for ITE, EN 61010 for laboratory and control equipment, and EN 60204 for machinery.

Elite’s electrical safety services begin with a review and inspection of the test item to identify design and construction compliance. We review schematics, instruction manuals, safety labeling and warnings, then perform test where applicable and consult on equipment modification necessary to meet the standards.

Our services take into consideration European as well as North American compliance regulations.
