Marine Classification Society Experience
Through our experience with testing marine electronics, Elite has established familiarity with the Marine Classification Societies and their processes. Elite routinely conducts test with clients and classification society representatives on site to validate and witness testing.

Component level EMC testing is performed in Elite’s shielded and RF absorber lined rooms and bench test stations. Elite’s largest room is configured for testing very large equipment such as shipboard controls for commercial ships as well as for military systems per MIL-STD-461. This room is also used to test small boats and water craft for radio frequency susceptibility and emissions. Elite also conducts in-situ testing on boats for radio frequency emissions at low RF ambient water sites throughout the country and often near manufacturers’ facilities.
Elite’s environmental stress testing laboratory includes large electro-dynamic vibration tables, HALT testing, and multiple temperature/humidity chambers for climatic simulation.

Elite’s environmental stress testing laboratory also includes a hydraulically-actuated tilting table specifically designed to meet the requirements for marine Inclination and In-Service Motion testing. The table features a 36-inch square platform capable of handling large test items, and angular motion on 2 independent axes for long duration tests.
Elite’s A2LA accreditation covers the marine industry tests for electromagnetic compatibility, electrical, and mechanical stress. The test methods and standards applying to marine electronics (IACS E10) are included on Elite’s scopes of accreditation.
